Edona Energy Solutions

Unleashing limitless wind energy
through simple and innovative design

Our flagship invention of cuboid form "building integrated wind turbine"
is designed to be installed on buildings to utilize enhanced winds around
buildings, capable of generating power at wind speed as low as 1 m/sec.
It is cost effective to install and maintain while eliminating many weak points
of conventional wind turbine designs. It produces clean energy efficiently
leaving no carbon footprints behind. Covid-19 has brought us unintended
positive consequences of clean air. We aim to take this momentum forward
and replace carbon-based energy with clean and renewable energy.

Maximum efficiency
with minimum wind resistance

The blades operate in a simple mechanism based on a set of
unique equations, minimize resistance against winds blowing
in the direction opposing their rotation, and realize power
generation with a high energy conversion efficiency.

Higher torque generation

The farther the blade is from the central axis,
the greater the torque.

Wind power on commercial and
residential buildings with minimum noise

The cuboid form of "building integrated wind turbine" can be attached to
buildings horizontally or vertically without tower support taking advantage
of wind effect on buildings to generate sustainable power to buildings.

The external surface areas of buildings increase the wind collection
effect for the turbines attached on buildings which can potentially
convert wind into power proportional to the cube of the wind velocity.

1 m/sec cut-in wind speed

*Cut-in Wind Speed: Minimum wind speed to generate power

The wind effect on buildings (B) along with the innovative design of
Edona turbines (R) can lower the cut-in wind speed to as low as
1 m/sec which is much lower than conventional turbines used today.
It makes it possible to generate power continuously even in cities
with low average wind speed. It is scalable and flexible to be
installed anywhere, any location with any condition. The units
can be installed on buildings in urban settings to be energy
self-sufficient with added benefits of stabilizing buildings during
high wind conditions by absorbing vibrations. Multiple large unit
installations can form a wind farm harvesting unlimited wind power.

Flexible design
without tower support

Sizes and dimensions of Edona turbines are flexible and scalable.
Multiple units of cuboid form turbines can be stacked on top of each other.

"The building integrated wind turbine" can be attached to
buildings horizontally or vertically.

Easy installation
and low maintenance

No need for tower installation, less burden to buildings using
light-weight material for blades, smaller number of parts,
smaller number of friction points mean longer maintenance
cycle thereby reducing the overall cost of operation.

Simple and robust design
by multi-axes support

The outer frame of the system consists of four supporting rods (S)
and the top and bottom plates, and each blade is supported at
multiple points (A, C, B), which allows the system to operate
even in extremely high wind at natural wind environment.

The structure of Edona turbine is designed in such a way that
movement of the parts does not put undue stress to each
component with Minimum friction at each of the contact points.

Independent power source
off of the power grid

Generate self-sufficient renewable energy during power
outage due to natural disasters while reducing the
vibration of buildings
at high wind condition.

Edona turbine's sails spin at a lower speed than the wind speed
and its multi-axes support design allows safe operation of the
turbine at high speed with minimum noise level.
